TTD Website not in Telugu

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, TTD, is having a website www.tirumala.org and is being maintained in English only. Any one knowing only Telugu is at loss and they have to depend on other people to know the schemes and program. And even Darshanam ( Darshan as mentioned by TTD) pages are fully in English and they have not provided even one line guidance in Telugu. This shows how TTD is acting against the development of Telugu.

The authorities should immediately create the site in Telugu version just like Central Government sites have Hindi version. And the tickets printed or generated on line should have Telugu narrations also. Most of our governments say pro people and are actually pro rich and pro english educated.

TTD can implement the site in Telugu, so that Telugu will have some more exposure to many more people.

RTC issuing tickets in English and ignoring Telugu

bus, automobile, transportation, vehicle, car, transportHave you ever travelled in a State Road Transport Corporation of AP and Telangana? You will get a ticket in the bus through ticket issuing hand held device and you will never find a difference because you know English (literate) and you ask fellow passenger who knows only Telugu (illiterate) and he will not be able to read and he don’t know whether the ticket was issued for his requested destination or not as the entire ticket will be in English.

Same way if  you board a Tamil Nadu government bus or a Karnataka government bus and you find the ticket is issued with the respective languages.

This is plight of our Telugu language and lack of concern by higher authorities sitting in the cities and are literates. When it is very simple to introduce Telugu in a software environment, authorities are conveniently ignoring the same and spending crores of rupees to make more and more people illiterate and help only literates(English known people).

The Transport corporation should immediately introduce Telugu in their tickets issued through hand held devices. Issuing a ticket in a language not known to the passenger is also an offence under Road Transport Rules. Demand will be sent to Managing Directors of APSRTC & TSRTC

No Telugu in Any Time Payment(ATP) Machine of Electricity Corporation

kdisknav, disk, lightning, power, disc, saveRecently Andhra Pradesh electricity department has introduced ATP(Any Time Payment) machines which are used to collect electricity bills and a computerised bill will be issued. And they are spending lacs of rupees on it and have not used a single word of Telugu.

All its menus are in English and receipt also in English. And authorities have not thought out even a little bit to introduce Telugu in the software. It is very simple to have multiple  languages, the higher authorities are not interested in implementing Telugu.

There is no meaning in learning Telugu in future as the person having knowledge of Telugu is non but an illiterate in his own state.

Telugu Fonts in Google are not good looking

I have observed that the Telugu fonts that are available with Google are not so good looking. The language display is very beautiful due its round alphabets. But the Google Telugu Fonts are out dated and were not further developed. Now a days we are having good fonts available in the market and all print and TV media is using it.

The Fonts of other languages like Kannada and Tamil are aesthetic and side by side, the fonts of Telugu gives revulsion and it is one of the factors discouraging use of Telugu in Internet.

Google rather helping the language development, it is affecting its spread and is doing disservice to the larger community as every one knows that the Google is being used by most of the netizens for their day to day life.

There is a boasting that Google is full of Telugu people and all are sleeping without involving in the development and use of language.

Please share this with your friends and send this to the Google for their immediate action.
